After School Program
The Adele Harrison Academy: After School Matters! after school program was established with generous donations from the Sonoma Valley Fund, the Sonoma Valley Youth Initiative and an investment by the Sonoma Valley Unified School District. Students benefit from a twofold approach: receiving structured productive after school guidance and academic support in math and language arts in addition to inspiring enrichment courses. The program design strengthens student academic proficiency while motivating students with engaging, thought provoking and motivating enrichment classes.
Students have been able to choose enrichment classes focused on topics in the Arts, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Life Skills, or sports teams as a companion activity to their academic work. Each enrichment class includes a study trip to enlarge our student's experience and attach real-world meaning and purpose to school.
Adele's after school program is great opportunity to support and expand students’ knowledge outside of the classroom and spark a lifelong interest in learning.
